We begin our day by crossing the Daintree River

We travel across on a cable ferry to the heart of the Daintree Rainforest. After a leisurely guided walk, we will stop to enjoy a morning tea of homemade muffins, fresh fruit and locally grown tea or freshly ground plunger coffee.
+

From here, we explore the only place on the planet where two World Heritage Listed sites meet.

The Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef touch at Cape Tribulation’s beach.

We like to avoid the crowds at Daintree Safaris

You’ll never forget the peaceful experience of visiting our secluded swimming hole. It is a tranquil spot, off the track and wonderfully untouched, a place to truly immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of this ancient rainforest.
+

After your swim, try a cool, tropical, delight at the Daintree Ice Cream Company.

All ice-creams are handmade on site with fresh tropical fruit grown in the picturesque gardens. We will then stop for a few photos at the scenic Alexandra Lookout where the mighty Daintree River flows out into the sparkling Coral Sea and The Great Barrier Reef.
+

Lunch is served at the charming Daintree Tea House Restaurant where you’ll dine in comfort in any weather.

Choose your meal from the menu. You may have chicken, steak, vegetarian, or our far northern speciality, a delicious fillet of Barramundi. All meals are served with salad, chips, fresh bread, juice and an array of fresh tropical fruit.
+

Enjoy a guided river cruise.

We’ll finish our day with a one hour guided cruise on the mighty Daintree River, home to the largest reptile in existence, the magnificent Saltwater Crocodile.

The Daintree is a living remnant of prehistoric times. It is a unique place where kangaroos live in trees and giant birds roam the dense undergrowth.

This precious World Heritage listed rainforest is estimated to be around 150 million years old which makes it about 136 million years older than the Amazon. Just imagine what other marvels lie within.

Daintree Safaris knows exactly how to show you the best of the Daintree Rainforest and create memories that will last you a lifetime.
