Daintree Rainforest Safari
Daintree Australia – Welcome to the oldest rainforest on Earth.
Of course, a trip to stunning Tropical North Queensland is not complete without a visit to this ancient and unique wonder nestled along the sparkling shores of the Coral Sea and touching the legendary Great Barrier Reef.
Naturally, you will experience a rare place of exceptional beauty and biodiversity, filled with plants and wildlife found nowhere else on the planet.
Small luxury tours
Daintree Safaris invites you to explore one of the most fascinating parts of our world in luxury and style.
Unlike most tour companies, our tour takes no more than six guests per day, traveling in the comfort of a spacious, late model Toyota 200 Series Land Cruiser featuring individual air conditioning and equal leg room throughout.
After all, you’ve come a long way to see us and therefore we think that you deserve the best.
Where the rainforest meets the reef
Firstly, we begin our day by crossing the Daintree River on a cable ferry to the heart of the Rainforest. Then we stop to enjoy a morning tea of homemade muffins and locally grown tea or freshly ground plunger coffee followed by a leisurely guided walk.
From here, we explore the only place on the planet where two World Heritage Listed sites meet as the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef touch at Cape Tribulation’s beach. Contact us to find out more.
The Daintree is a living remnant of prehistoric times. Remarkably, it is a place where Kangaroos live in trees and giant horned birds roam the dense undergrowth. This precious World Heritage listed rainforest is estimated to be around 150 million years old which makes it about 136 million years older than the Amazon. Just imagine what other marvels lie within.
Explore the ancient Daintree Rainforest
As to be expected, we like to avoid the crowds at Daintree Safaris and you’ll never forget the peaceful experience of visiting our secluded swimming hole. Uniquely, it’s a tranquil spot, off the track and wonderfully untouched, a place to truly immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of this ancient rainforest
After your swim, try a cool, tropical, delight at the Daintree Ice Cream Company. Then stop for a few photos at the scenic Alexandra Lookout where the Daintree River flows out into the Coral Sea.
Sumptuous restaurant lunch
Lunch is served at the Daintree Tea House Restaurant where you’ll dine in comfort in any weather. Choose your meal from the menu; chicken breast, juicy steak, vegetarian, or our far northern speciality, fillet of Barramundi.
All meals are served with salad, chips, fresh bread, juice and an array of fresh tropical fruit.
Unforgettable river cruise
We’ll finish our day with a one hour guided wild life spotting cruise on the mighty Daintree River, home to the largest reptile in existence, the magnificent Saltwater Crocodile.
With over 20 years local experience and National Park permits, Daintree Safaris knows exactly how to show you the best of the Daintree Rainforest and create precious memories that will last you a lifetime.
Cape Tribulation Beach
The world famous Cape Tribulation is where two World Heritage sites combine in a fabulous richness in biodiversity. Verdant tangled depths of the Daintree Rainforest meet the sparkling stunning turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a peaceful stroll on the white sands with Nicholas and drink in the amazing views.
Secluded Rainforest Swim
Next you will journey to the beautiful Emmagen Creek for a refreshing dip in the crystal clear waters. Shaded by the canopy in the rainforest, drink in the peaceful ambience and cool off in the pristine private surrounds. Then, have a swim or just take a stroll if you prefer.
